Thinking Critically in Context (Workshop)

   June 1 & 2, 2010

Creating Learning Activities that Target the Improvement of
Students' Critical Thinking Skills, within Disciplinary Contexts

Critical Thinking

Critical thinking is the ability to use and manage intelligence and skills appropriately for tasks or goals, across multiple domains of knowledge (cognitive, social, and affective domains).

This one-day workshop will allow participants the opportunity to create critical thinking activities within the context of their own discipline. The activities created will all require the creation, communication, and transfer of knowledge. Participants should each bring a learning activity (or even an idea for a learning activity) to work on during the institute.
