2012 was a busy publishing year for Pacific Crest! We were pleased to be selected as the publisher and designer for four different transportation-related books, published through a project sponsored by the Federal Highway Administration, and representing a collaboration of the Region X Transportation Consortium, with members at the University of Idaho, Portland State University, the University of Washington, and the University of Alaska.

During the course of the project, four new activity-based transportation courses and books were created, including “Traffic Signal Systems Operations and Design”, “Understanding and Communicating Transportation Data”, “Introduction to Freight Transportation”, and “Rural Highway Design and Safety”. Each are learner-centered and include activities completed by students to form the basis for their learning. Pacific Crest assisted with designing the look of the curricula and publishing the books in print or electronic format.

Pacific Crest also designed and created the websites associated with each of the books. We welcome you to take a look at what is publicly available for each of the books.
